Jean Claude “The Dynamite” Saclag delivered an explosive performance under the bright lights of the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand Friday, Sept. 6.
The three-time SEA Games gold medalist showcased his striking brilliance, dispatching South Korean opponent Lee Jun Young in a flyweight MMA bout at ONE Friday Fights 78.
His striking superiority was evident, and once the Team Lakay standout landed his first shot, he controlled the pace of the matchup.
Right from the opening bell, the Filipino spitfire unleashed a barrage of punishing blows that immediately put Lee on the back foot.
Lee, to his credit, showed immense courage by standing his ground, opting to engage Saclag in a firefight.
However, Saclag was all too happy to oblige, dropping Lee to the canvas with a powerful overhand right.
Although the South Korean tried valiantly to regain his footing, he was met with a vicious combination of punches.
As Lee fell to the floor once again, Saclag seized the opportunity to seal the deal, teeing off with a series of strikes that prompted the referee to jump in and stop the action at the 1:34 mark of the first round.
With this commanding performance in his promotional debut, Saclag improved his professional record to 3-1, notching his third consecutive stoppage victory.
Meanwhile, Lee dropped to a 5-2 slate after facing the Filipino’s relentless onslaught.
