Geraldine Jennings is out with her debut single under Star Music.
Titled “If I Will Ever Love Again,” the heart-warming ballad was written by none other than singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid.
Asked how it came about, Geraldine told us, “I think he heard me sing and he immediately thought the song would be perfect for me. I’m grateful, of course. I really love the song too.”
The Pinay-Brit just flew in from London to do promotional work for the single.
Beyond that, she is also busy with her upcoming film “Isla Babuyan,” which also stars Jameson Blake.
She related, “Film work is hard. Some people may think being an actress is all glamour but no. Based on what I experienced doing the film, it’s a lot of hard work. But I’m really happy with it. It’s a good start.”
Does she like acting now more than singing?
“I love both,” answered Geraldine. “Music is always going to be my first love but I really enjoyed working on ‘Isla Babuyan.’ So I hope to continue doing both.”
“Isla Babuyan” is a passion project of her manager, the late Leo V. Dominguez.
“He really wanted me to do it and I’m really grateful but I’m really sad that Tito Leo is not here anymore. I’m sure he would love to see the launch because it is his passion project.”
Despite her being based abroad, Geraldine maintained she is more than ready and willing to accept more projects here.
“I could fly back and forth,” she said. “I mean, at this point, flying is just like a regular commute for me now.”
Given the chance, Geraldine wants to collaborate with several local artists including Sarah Geronimo, Darren Espanto.
“I also want to do a movie or at least a TV series with Anthony Jennings. Only because we share the same last name. I think that would be interesting.”
