Mayoralty aspirant Sam Verzosa continues to keep busy making the rounds of Manila, eager to reach out to supporters.
We caught up with him over the weekend at Barrio Obrero Elementary School in Tondo where he distributed rice to over 2,000 beneficiaries.
Looking tired but happy, Sam told us how he finds joy mingling with people who are only seemingly too ready to welcome him with open arms.
He urged rivals to do the same.
“Huwag na ho tayo masyadong mamulitika,” he said.
Sam admitted he is affected by the “below the belt” hits he has been getting from rivals.
Opo, masakit kasi below the belt na minsan.”
He then warned: “Ayoko sabayan pero tao lang ako. Kahit aso sapakin mo, iiyak at kakagat.”
As of now, though, he is still keeping his cool.
He vowed to continue with his efforts, bringing quality food assistance, medicines, among others, to those in need.
Meanwhile, the TV host and Tutok-to-Win partylist representative announced that he and girlfriend Rhian Ramos are also preparing for a marathon in New York this November.
“Nagpapalakas tayo. Pag may oras, tumatakbo kami, nag-gi-gym. Training ko na rin tong pag-ikot ko, nakakatulong sa preparation,” he said.
