Sam Verzosa is doing well in his effort to reach out to supporters.
He has been doing this for some time now, bringing with him sacks of rice, imported canned goods, among others.
So far, so good.
Actually, many are now hoping that he would also visit their area and soon.
Well, don’t fret. He plans to do so.
We caught up with Sam recently in Baseco, Tondo, and he told us, “Ako ay natutuwa sa mainit na pagtanggap sa atin ng mga tao.
Note that Sam travels with a caravan replete with a mobile clinic and mobile botika.
Prior, Sam also distributed hundreds of siomai carts for those eager to start a business.
Many insist the goodwill comes with price tag, with Sam having announced his bid to run as Mayor of Manila.
But the businessman-TV host belied this.
He said, “Hindi tayo pumasok sa politika para magpayaman.
But why not just continue with his philanthropic efforts?
“Dahil mas marami pa po tayong magagawa kapag nakaupo tayo,” he said. “Kung ito nagagawa natin nang hindi nakaupo, what more kung andun na tayo?”
