Eldrew Yulo further embellished his status as the next big thing in gymnastics after winning 3 more golds to emerge as one of the most successful campaigners in the 3rd JRC Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Bangkok, Thailand over the weekend.
His confidence firmed up by his gold medal win in the all-around competition, the 16-year-old Yulo produced near-flawless routines in vault, floor exercise and still rings to cap a dominant show.
With his haul, Eldrew, younger brother of two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo, brought home six medals, including two silvers in all-around team and parallel bars.
In all, the Philippine squad snared 21 golds, 9 silvers and four bronzes for a total of 34 medals.
Jacob Alvarez, however, was the country’s top gold producer with five followed by Yulo.
Other gold medal performer s were Chelsea Hong with three while Andrei De Leon, Ma. Elizabeth Medina, Aqeela Perz and Prince Sumabal had two golds apiece.
The girls team also reigned supreme in the WAG Australian Level 4 class.
Alvarez, Sumabal, De Leon, Merion Domingo, Sascha Amara Santos, and Sophia Flores plucked silvers and bronzes as well.
