CEBU CITY, Philippines – Some 451 workers around Central Visayas are set to benefit from over P2 million in livelihood assistance released by the Department of Labor and Employment to 10 community-based enterprises (CBE’s) in Cebu under the agency’s Integrated Livelihood Program (ILP).
Labor secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz, who was in Cebu recently for the Visayas leg of the DOLE-AFP-Labor Summit on Freedom of Association, said 451 workers will benefit from the P2,194,290 in livelihood assistance to CBE’s.
Baldoz said the agency envisions the small and medium-sized community enterprises engaging in productive entrepreneurial activities and creates employment opportunities for people in local communities. (Mars W. Mosqueda, Jr.)
