Games Today San Juan Arena
1 p.m. – Café France vs Hapee
3 p.m. – Kera Mix vs Cagayan Valley
Cafe France faces struggling Hapee on Monday, looking to match the longest winning streak and bolster its bid for an outright semifinal berth in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup.
The Bakers are definitely on the right track.
Since an 85-86 loss to league leader Cebuana Lhuillier [6-0] to open their campaign, the Bakers have won five straight with a chance to match the feat by the Gems, who have remain unbeaten in six games.
Moments after their 92-75 rout of AMA University last week, Café France coach Egay Macaraya said his troops are peaking at the right time. But he expects the Bakers [5-1] to have their hands full against the Fresh Fighters, who swept them in the semifinals last conference.
Gametime is 1 p.m. at the San Juan Arena.
Hapee has lost its last two games and looks like an also-ran with its 2-3 mark. But the Aspirants’ Cup champion is getting a needed shot in the arm with the return of San Beda’s core stars led by 6-foot-7 Ola Adeogun.
The struggling Fresh Fighters also welcome back Baser Amer, Art dela Cruz, Michel Sorela, Jaype Mendoza and Ryusei Koga as they try to avoid a third straight defeat that could hurt their playoff chances.
Cagayan Valley also tries to extend its winning streak to four games when its battles unpredictable Kera Mix in the second game at 3 p.m.
