Irked by harsh criticisms on his brutal war on illegal drugs, President Duterte is ready to trade places with his detractors to see if they can effectively address the problem.
The President made the challenge as he explained his relentless campaign against the illegal drug trade that threatens to destroy the Filipino youth.
“Kung ikaw ang Presidente nun, hindi ka magalit? Palit tayo. Ako ang makinig sa inyo diyan,” Duterte said during the 6th Philippine Professional Summit at the historic landmark Manila Hotel last Thursday night.
Duterte also admitted that allegations he was a killer were true, insisting he has a duty to protect the nation from threats such as the illegal drug trade.
“I am Rodrigo Duterte. I am a worker of government. My task is to protect the people and preserve the Republic of the Philippines, period. You do anything that will destroy that equation. Then, ‘yung sabi nila na pumapatay ako? Talagang papatayin kita,” he said.
“Pumapatay talaga ako ng tao. P**** i**. Gawain mo ‘yan sa Pilipino,” he added.
