F2 Logistics finally claimed its breakthrough title in the Philippine Superliga (PSL) by downing Petron, 25-20, 25-19, 20-25, 25-18, in the sudden death of their Grand Prix finals last night at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Inspired by their dramatic win in Game 2 last Thursday, the Cargo Movers claimed the first two sets without much difficulty before encountering trouble in the third set.
The Blaze Spikers eventually took the third set but it proved to be their last gallant stand as the Cargo Movers started aggressively in the fourth set thanks to the gutsy plays of Kim Fajardo, Cha Cruz and Aby Marano.
F2 clinched their best-of-three title series, 2-1.
It was the first title for the F2 side built around the core of UAAP champion La Salle.
Also delivering huge numbers for F2 was Venezuelan star Maria Jose Perez, who held her ground against American imports Lindsay Stalzer and Hillary Hurley.
