Ito nga at pati sina Alex Gonzaga at Bela Padilla ay nagbatuhan ng katwiran at opinyon sa Twitter kaugnay sa ginawa niyang “catfishing.”
Ayon sa Google, ang “catfishing” ay ang gawaing magpasakay ng isang tao online.
“The person completely assumes a fake identity and goes the extra mile to make their victim believe they are exactly who the say are. It tends to happen a lot on online dating.”
Ang biktima umano ni Sam ay ang transwoman from Cebu na si Jzan Vern. Sangkot sa gulo ang isang Iver Reyes.
Sa report ng GMA sinabi na, “Morales fooled her into thinking she was chatting with a straight man identified as Bill Iver Reyes.”
Tweet ni Alex, “To anyone reading this…basta ang ka-chat or katext mo di nagpapakita within a month or video call man lang na sabay kayong dalawa pareho nakikita at nag-uusap sa screen…it’s a fraud.”
Sagot naman ni Bela, “This is isn’t always the case, Alex. The victims of these situations are kept in a bubble, so perfect, that they wouldn’t want to leave.
“One month will feel like a day when you think that you are in love and loved.”
Paalala ni Bela sa sagutan nila ni Alex sa bahagi ng kasunod na tweet, “Please don’t misconstrue. There is no versus here. I love Alex, I am just covering areas she didn’t cover with her tweet.”
Naku, huwag nang patulan ang mga taong kulang sa pansin! Ang pananalasa ng COVID-19 ang pagkaabalahan, huh!
