Fans of Korean dramas will have more fun on GMA this September.
This, as GMA Heart of Asia brings forth its newest offering “Goblin: The Lonely and Great God.”
The widely-popular K-drama fantasy series has quickly gained views and following in South Korea during its premiere in 2016 with its stellar roster of cast and a fun yet interesting plot.
The series stars renowned actors Gong Yoo as Kim Shin/The Goblin, Kim Go-eun as Ella, and Lee Dong-wook as The Grim Reaper.
Kim Shin (Gong Yoo), a decorated military general from the Goryeo Dynasty, is framed as a traitor and killed by the young king.
He becomes an immortal goblin and the only way to put an end to his immortality is the Goblin’s bride, whose aid in pulling out the sword will end his painful immortality.
Goblin will meet Ella (Kim Go-eun), a bubbly high school student who remains cheerful and hopeful despite her tragic life.
It is said that Ella is the Goblin’s bride. Eventually, Goblin will develop feelings for Ella, but will this also be the end of Goblin’s life?
“Goblin: The Lonely and Great God“ starts airing September 19 at 5pm, on GMA Afternoon Prime.
