JUST A THOUGHT: “The smallest deed is greater than the grandest intention.” – Patti Labelle

DON’T HURT THEM: News of medical workers being discriminated upon, or worse, harassed outside hospitals, further lowers the downside in our fight against coronavirus or COVID-19.
There are reports that some doctors, nurses and other health workers are being evicted from their rented units. Landlords and neighbors fear they may get contaminated by these workers, exposed as they are to various illnesses in their places of work.
Worse, there are reports that some health workers were attacked by by-standers as they came home from work. At least two were thrown chemical based solutions on their faces.
Are these the proper, civilized, grateful ways to treat our frontline heroes?
Truth is, we couldn’t thank them enough for their efforts, their daily sacrifices, as they risk their own lives simply by just doing their task of healing, saving other people’s lives.

HOMAGE TO HEROES: It comes as a relief, a breath of fresh breeze, that songs celebrating the heroism of health workers are coming to fore.
Producer-entrepreneur Dr. Carl Balita and awarded songwriter Vehnee Saturno pay tribute to frontline health workers by coming up with “Bayani ng Mundo.”
Composed and produced by Saturno, the song features the combined voices of Kuh Ledesma, Dulce, Jamie Rivera, Ivy Violan, Bayang Barios, Kris Lawrence, Esang de Torres, and Ladine Roxas.
Vehnee says he was inspired to write the song in appreciation of health workers. The lyrics, he says, came from the heart with the front liners in mind.
The record was enhanced at his newly opened VSMC studio in Cabuyao, Laguna. It has raised millions already.
