What do you want for Christmas?
A brand new motorcycle perhaps? What about a car? A house and lot?
Well, keep dreaming. There are others dreaming of even more fantastical if actually impossible things.
Like a mermaid.
This is actually what the film “A Mermaid For Christmas” is all about.
Aa whimsical holiday offering from WFL Productions as released by Lenaz Film Production, it stars Kyle Lowder as Travis Hunter, a guy who falls for the mermaid Daphne as played by Jessica Morris.
Says Kyle, “It’s a fun, feel-good film perfect for all ages, what more could you want for Christmas?”
Fil-American Arsy Grindulo Jr, executive producer adds, “I think Filipinos will love it. It goes beyond fantasy in that it actually imparts important values as generosity, kindness, selflessness, hope, and love.”
Note that Jessica is no cinema newbie. She starred prior in Lifetime TV’s “The Wrong Teacher.”
She also appeared in Fox’s “Rosewood” and TNT’s “Perception.”
Just recently, she was seen in Freedom’s “Party Of Five” remake and soon in “The Upshaws” in Netflix.
Kyle established himself as a high calibre actor via “Days Of Our Lives” and “The Bold And The Beautiful.”
He is making a comeback on “Days Of Our Lives.”
Kyle relates, “I’m actually going to be busy shooting scenes for ‘Days Of Our Lives’ in the coming weeks. I was actually hoping to be there when the movie opens but better luck next time I guess.”
Directed by Michael Caruso, with Tess Reyes and Imelda Napa as producers, it opens in local cinemas Dec. 7.
