Streaming on VMX starting November 12, is “Kabitan,” a film by Sigrid Polon.
It stars Athena Red as Alice, a kept woman.
She will cross paths with Mika played by Alessandra Cruz, who, like her, is on the same sad, lonely boat.
The two will form a bond that will go beyond mere friendship.
It all starts with Alice giving Mika some pointers on how to keep her man on a short leash.
Alice and Mika will become lovers, despite their situation.
Everything seems fun, convenient until Van leaves his wife to be with Mika for good.
Ultimately, these two women have to make a choice. Will they stay together?
Meanwhile, on November 22, newbie Allison Smith plays a game of seduction and betrayal at a bustling construction site in “Pukpok,” directed by Christopher Novabos.
Smith plays Jennilyn, a seemingly hardworking secretary at a construction site who hides a lot of dark secrets.
Involved in a scheme to steal and sell construction materials with the site’s security guard, she captivates the attention of the site owners, brothers Christian (Rash Flores) and Richard (Seon Woo Kim), while framing others for her own gain.
She exploits Christian’s troubled marriage to regain trust and further her own interests. But when Randy (Mon Mendoza), a new construction worker, enters the picture, Jennilyn’s ambitions soar to dangerous new heights.
Together, they connive to steal more from the site, pushing Jennilyn to seduce Christian even further to obtain the critical information they need.
Where will it all lead? Will Jennilyn’s ruthless ambition bring fatal consequences?
