Lovi and JC: State of the heart

STATE OF THE HEART – Is your heart made of steel?

Lovi Poe and JC de Vera were asked as they proudly displayed their piece of jewelry made of steel, “stainless steel,” she said.

The common answer was no, Lovi adding, “Baka nerve pa, but heart not at all.”

Asked about the state of her heart, Lovi begged off, “Wag munang pag-usapan ang pag-ibig.”

Why? Is she and sweetheart Rocco Nacino having problems?

Lovi said no, but her eyes seemed to be saying otherwise. Somewhat sad.

But how about JC?

He said he’s dating a non-showbiz girl, engaged in business like him. JC and friends opened Burgery (pasta and sandwich) in Parañaque two years ago and soon opening another in Makati.

By the way, Lovi and friends have their own bar with four branches and still counting.

PERSONALIZED — But why did stainless steel jewelry entered the picture while talking to Lovi and JC.

Well, they happen to be the endorsers and models of the home-grown brand Imomo (the Japanese word for durable), which they proudly wear.

In their words, “fashionable and durable but affordable, available since 2006 throughout the Philippines.”

Imomo boutiques have an array of personalized His-and-Hers line. Perfect for lovers. Like Lovi and Rocco, JC and non-showbiz lady.

GOING GREAT — Lovi and JC’s careers are going great.

Lovi has one assignment after the other at GMA. She’s doing a historical movie “Lakambini,” the story of Gregoria de Jesus, the widow of Andres Bonifacio and later married to Julio Nakpil.

Her leading men are Rocco Nacino and Paolo Avelino.

Soon, Lovi and her mother (Rowena Moran) and an aunt are vacationing in Europe. Must-destination is Lourdes, France, where the Blessed Mother appeared before the peasant girl Bernadette, later canonized (saint). Lovi said her complete name is Lourdes Virginia.

JC belongs to ABS-CBN, where the actor gets the chance to portray varied roles, from drama to action to comedy. He’s doing an indie, “Salvage,” horror-thriller. (RONALD CONSTANTINO)
