TELEVISION host Amy Perez has said that her family is still her priority these days despite her tight schedule on ABS-CBN.

During an interview on “Tonight with Boy Abunda” on ABS-CBN recently, Perez revealed how she manages her career and family at the same time despite having a regular radio show on DZMM which she co-anchors with Marc Logan, the daily morning program “Umagang Kay Ganda,” and the noontime show “It’s Showtime.”

“Ang dami ngang nagtatanong, paano mo ‘yan ginagawa? Actually sa tutoong buhay, eight o’ clock, tulog na ako. I go to dinner at 5:30 p.m. after ko sunduin si Kyle from school;

“And then I wake up at 3:15 in the morning to make it to ‘Umagang Kay Ganda’ at 4:30 in the morning to do the show 5 to 8 a.m. After that uuwi uli ako;

“Tapos si Isaiah naman pakakainin ko at si Adi nakaalis na papuntang school. So pag napakain ko na si Isaiah, I’m going to take a nap kahit 30 to 45 minutes before I go to the radio for DZMM. That’s 10 to 11;

“From there, tuloy na ako sa ‘It’s Showtime.’ After ‘Showtime’ naman, wala na akong ginagawa. That’s my me time na;”
“Sa hapon ginagawa ko uli errands for the kids like sinusundo ko si Kyle ng 5 p.m. sa school. Take turns kami ni Carlo (Castillo) dun. Sa umaga s’ya ang naghahatid ako naman ang nagsusundo sa hapon,” Perez said.

She also said that she does not go out at night anymore on weekdays because of her schedule.

“Tapos disiplinado na. Wala na talaga akong nightlife Monday to Friday. Yan ang mga sinasabi ko sa mga kaibigan ko kasi hindi ko na kayang magpuyat,” Perez said.

“On Saturday, yun ang date namin ni Carlo. We watch a movie or watch a concert kasi pareho kami ng off. Tapos sa Sunday, yun na yung sa mga bata. We go to church, and then we have lunch together;

“Minsan naisisingit ko pa rin na pumunta ako sa mga churches to give testimonies to make kwento about some uplifting stories para sa mga kababaihan. Masaya ako sa nagagawa ko,” said Perez.

Perez, 47, married her long-time partner radio host Carlo Castillo in November 2014. They have two children Kyle and Isaiah. Perez was previously married to singer Brix Ferraris. They have a son named Adi. The marriage between Perez and Ferraris has been annulled.
