JUST A THOUGHT: “There is no sincerer love than the love of food.” – George Bernard Shaw

MADALICIOUS: Picked up a new word, “Madalicious,” as GMA-7 and San Miguel Purefoods Home Foodie launched its new season, the fourth. The morning show kicked off its new season June 11 and airs Monday to Friday after “Unang Hirit.”

Hosted by couple Drew Arellano and Iya Villania, the new season introduces new dishes that are both easy to prepare (madali) yet delicious. Thus, madalicious!

Madali na, delicious pa.

Chef Llena Tan-Arcenas explained that this season’s dishes are restaurant-inspired. Dishes which you normally order in restaurants can now be prepared at home through easy, simple steps using San Miguel Purefoods products.

That lunchtime at GMA’s roof deck restaurant, we sampled some of the dishes, which reminded us, indeed, of a few restaurant favorites of ours.

Top picks among media guests were Chicken Galantina and Bagnet, which both used Purefoods ingredients. What took our breath away was the Camote Cake, one whole, boiled camote baked with cheese and Dairy Crème topping.

The new season also introduces two new Chefs: Martin Narisma and John Valley.

BEE GEES IMPRESSED: No less than The Bee Gees themselves applauded the TNT Boys’ impersonation of the all-time hit American group.

The TNT Boys later went on with their first-ever win in “Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids” with their impersonation of girl group Destiny’s Child.

Stated the official account of Bee Gees: “Imitation truly is the sincerest form of flattery! Thank you #TNTBoys @YourFacePH for your rendition of ‘Too Much Heaven.’”

Mackie Empuerto, Francis Concepcion, and Kiefer Sanchez make up TNT Boys.

MARRIAGE WON’T AFFECT ANNE: Like the modern, cosmopolitan woman that she is, Anne Curtis insists marriage won’t affect her choice of roles and projects.

The “It’s Showtime” host considers herself a working actress, and a professional at that.

In her latest film, “Sid & Aya,” Anne engages a few, artistically-shot kissing scenes with Dingdong Dantes in their very first team-up. She says she gets full support from her husband, Erwan Heussaff, who understands her line of work.

“Sid & Aya,” a romantic drama set in nighttime Makati and Tokyo, is a big box office hit.

Earlier, Erwan’s sister, Solenn Heussaff, expressed exactly the same attitude towards her career as an actress following her own marriage. Solenn said she won’t let marriage alter her choice of roles, that she can, in fact, continue doing sexy roles.

Solenn proved she could act very well, indeed, in recent movie hit, “My 2 Mommies.”
