Guns, ammo seized in Malabon raid

BULLETSTwo firearms and several pieces of ammunition were seized by police during a raid in a house in Barangay San Agustin, Malabon City on Black Saturday.

The owner of the house, who police identified as Billy Boy Balen, remains at large.

Elements of the Malabon police Intelligence Branch and Police Community Precinct 6 conducted the raid at about 8 a.m.

The police came armed with a search warrant for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act issued on April 16 by Malabon Regional Trial Court Branch 290 Judge Rosario G. Ines-Pinzon.

Recovered from the house were a caliber .45 pistol, a caliber .38 revolver, a caliber .45 magazine, six caliber .38 live ammunition, and seven caliber .45 live ammunition.

Follow-up operation is ongoing for the arrest of Balen. (Minka Tiangco)
