United States Ambassador to the Philippines Sung Kim called Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso a “rockstar” for his leadership style as the latter paid a courtesy call at the US Embassy on Friday.

Kim lauded Domagoso as he bring “new dynamism” and “energies” to his position.

The ambassador also praised Domagoso’s public statements regarding the anti-drug campaign.

Earlier, the mayor said he was supporting the drug war but with certain reservations, like upholding human rights.

“We appreciate your approach. You’re dealing with it in a manner that is consistent with human rights and rule of law,” the ambassador told him.

During the meeting, Domagoso shared to the US Ambassador his policies and plans for the City, the core values that influence his mindset and leadership style.

The mayor was accompanied by his chief of staff Cesar Chavez while Kim was with Internal Political Chief of the Embassy Josh Morris. (Erma Edera)
