The Diliman Blue Dragons collide with the Technological Institute of the Philippines Engineers at 4 p.m. while the CEU Scorpions battle the National College of Business and Arts Wildcats in the 12 noon opener.

Both teams shoot for their second wins for a share of the early lead with University of Batangas.

Diliman started its title defense last Monday with a 97-69 triumph over Philippine Christian University-Dasmariñas while CEU routed Olivarez College, 89-69, in opening day.

Also seeking a share of the top spot is Lyceum of the Philippines-Batangas as it collides with Olivarez College at 2 p.m.

The Lyceum Pirates are coming off an 88-62 drubbing of the Wildcats four days back to jumpstart their campaign.

Johnnel Bauzon is expected to step up for Diliman after exploding for 29 points against the PCU-D Dolphins.

Likely to shine for Scorpions is Eric Tuadles, who erupted for 23 points spiked by six triples.

Expected to lead the LPU Pirates are wily guard AA Lapasaran and Congolese center Arsene Mulunda who registered huge numbers in their easy 88-62 win over the Wildcats of Jake Codamon.

In that win, the 5-foot-10 Lapasaran tallied 24 points, 9 assists and five boards while the 6-foot-6 Mulunda produced a double-double of 12 points and 15 boards. (Kristel Satumbaga)
