No weather disturbances may affect the country in the next two to three days, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration said yesterday.
PAGASA weather specialist Gener Quitlong said there is no weather disturbance that may form or enter the country’s area of responsibility in the next two to three days.
The southwest monsoon or “habagat” will be the only dominant weather system that may affect the extreme portion of Northern Luzon, he said.
Batanes and Babuyan Group of Islands will have cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
Quitlong said a gale warning remains in effect as sea travel remains risky over some seaboards of the country.
Fisherfolk are prevented from setting sail into the coastlines of Pangasinan, Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Norte, La Union, Batanes, Babuyan, Calayan, Cagayan, and Isabela due to rough seas that will be dangerous for small sea craft.
The rest of the country will have slight to moderate seas.
Throughout the week, PAGASA said the Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes, Babuyan, Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the habagat.
The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening. (Ellalyn V. Ruiz)
