Manila Mayor Isko Moreno on Friday urged the citizens of the nation’s capital to follow simple rules to return it to its former glory.
Isko asked Manileños to follow simple rules like avoiding jaywalking and littering during his speech at the 112th founding anniversary celebration of the Philippine General Hospital on Taft Ave. in Manila.
“Let me handle other problems. But don’t give me or add up to the smallest problems in this community,” Moreno said.
He said he needed the cooperation of the public to solve the staggering problems of the city.
“If we help each other – all of us – then Manila will be vibrant again, then Manila will be great again, then Manila, all of us during our time, we can prove to this world that Manila is the Paris of the East,” he added. (Erma Edera)
