The National Burea of Investigation (NBI) has decided to delay the
resumption of clearance processing after the government decided to
extend the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in select areas.
“In view of the announcement of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte of the
extension of the enhanced community quarantine in Metro Manila,
Central Luzon, Calabarzon, and other ‘high-risk’ areas in Luzon, until
May 15, 2020, we would like to inform our dear clearance applicants
that we will be resuming our clearance processing operations on May
18, 2020,” the NBI announced on Thursday.
NBI Clearance is a certificate issued by the NBI to a person showing
he or she has no derogatory or pending criminal record.
The NBI suspended the processing NBI clearances last March 18
following the imposition of the ECQ. (Jeffrey Damicog)
