NAIC, Cavite – A farmer died late Saturday night after he was accidentally hit by a speeding van driven by a young man while crossing on Governors Drive in Barangay Sabang, this upland municipality.
Police identified the fatality as Eduardo Toledo Roll, 58, a widow and resident of Barangay Sabang.
Roll, who suffered head and body injuries, succumbed while being treated at San Lorenzo Ruiz Hospital.
The driver of blue Hyundai Grace Van (WSK 461) – Rafael Sorongon Somolostro, 21, a resident of Barangay De Ocampo, Trece Martirez City, Cavite – was held by village officers and brought to the police station and so with the vehicle with windshield and front side damages. (Anthony Giron)
