Comedian Vice Ganda has admitted he gets offended when asked if gays really spend so much money on men.
“Kasi laging tinatanong yan sa amin. Pag bakla ba laging gumagastos sa lalaki? Yun ang tanong na nao-offend ako,” Vice Ganda reacted, during an interview with the cast of the new film “Camp Sawi” on his late-night talk show “Gandang Gabi Vice” on ABS-CBN.
“Bakit, ’yung lalaki ba hindi gumagastos sa babae? Yung babae ba hindi gumagastos sa lalaki? Lahat naman pag mahal mo gagastos ka. Hindi hinihingi sayo ’yun, choice mo ’yun. At pag mahal mo, iisipin mo ’yung magpapasaya sa’yo at hindi gastos ’yun,” Vice Ganda added.
“Kaya kung gagastos ka sa mahal mo, hindi gawaing bakla ’yun kundi pagmahahal lang at gusto mong maging masaya,” the comedian said.
Reports said that Vice Ganda is generous to his boyfriends by giving them expensive gifts, although he never revealed his relationships.
During the same show, Vice Ganda asked the stars of “Camp Sawi” if they had spent a lot for their boyfriends.
“Ni-renovate ko pa nga ’yung kwarto n’ya, nagpintura ako, out-of-town kasi sya. Sabi ko sa driver ko bilisan mo, dalian mo darating na sya. Bumili ako ng kama, carpet, TV. Ako rin nagbabayad ng car loan nya,” said Arci Muñoz.
Muñoz said that she does not think of the amount she has spent for her ex-boyfriend because she simply loved him.
“Hindi mo maiisip ‘yun eh, mas importante pa nga siya. Noong time na ‘yun? Mas iniisip ko pa ‘yung good niya, kung ano ‘yung mas maganda for him kesa sa akin,” the actress said.
Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity housemate Yassi Pressman said that she drove her former boyfriend from Antipolo to the south on a daily basis.
“Everyday ’yun kahit sobrang late na mga 2 a.m. Ok lang ako mag drive. Na realize ko later sya pala ’yung may driver at s’ya pala ’yung lalaki,” said Pressman.
Padilla said that she never experienced spending a lot for her BF. “Ok lang pala ’yung nangyari sa amin. Hindi naman ako gumagastos sa lalaki walang ganun. Mabait naman ’yung ex ko marami lang kaming bad days,” she smiled.
