Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club is hosting the foreign-flavored 2017 Philippine Airlines-Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines Interclub Golf Championship starting tomorrow, Wednesday. April 24.
A team from GNGF Juniors of Guam and provincial club Pueblo de Oro are joining the field of 28 squads competing for team and individual honors in the three-day event.
Ushering in the Interclub sponsored by PAL, Philippine Golf Foundation, Manila Southwoods and Ayala Land, Inc. is the parade team captains at the Southwoods Legends grounds today, Tuesday to be followed by the team captains meeting and official practice round.
Events on tap are Division I for players 13-14 years and 15-18 years; Division II for 9-10/11-12 and Division III for 6 to 8 yrs old.
Teams competing will be coming from Aguinaldo, Alabang, Del Monte, Pradera Verde, Pueblo de Oro, The Manila Southwoods and Orchard. Bannering the campaign of Southwoods in Division 1 is former Junior World champion Bernice Ilas.
