Corporate rivals San Miguel Beer and TNT Katropa made a stunning move after consummating a deal that sent forward Matt Ganuelas-Rosser to the Beermen in exchange for guard RR Garcia yesterday that was approved by the PBA Commissioner’s Office.
The two sides were talking the past few days and were only permitted by managements’ bosses – Ramon S. Ang for SMB and Manny V. Pangilinan for TNT – to proceed with the deal late Sunday.
The trade of Garcia for Ganuelas-Rosser was forwarded the following morning at the league office and, after a quick review, got the approval of PBA chief Chito Narvasa.
