GMA G.I.V.E.S (Guide, Interact, Volunteer, Educate, Serve), GMA Network’s corps of employee-volunteers, extended a helping hand last Dec. 9 to the soldiers who fought in Marawi City, living up to the message of GMA’s Christmas tagline, “Buong pusong maGMAhalan ngayong Pasko.”

Together with GMA Kapuso Foundation and GMA News and Public Affairs, the volunteers gathered at V. Luna General Hospital in Quezon City to pay homage to our nation’s heroes. They also distributed food, gift packs, and Noche Buena packages for the soldiers and their families.

Highlighting the event were GMA Artist Center talents including Addy Raj, Hannah Precillas, Super Tekla, and Nar Cabico who entertained the audience. Hannah Precillas showcased her golden voice while Addy Raj showed proficiency in the Filipino language as he sang two OPM songs. Nar Cabico, on the other hand, performed an energetic number through his song, ‘Gaga.’ And finally, comedic host Super Tekla brought the house down when he did stand-up comedy.

GMA G.I.V.E.S were overwhelmed to bring out the widest of smiles on the soldiers’ faces, the mission to show gratitude to Marawi soldiers has been a success.
