Jimmy Zapanta of Laguna reigned supreme in the Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) 7-Bullstag Derby last Friday at Pasay City Cockpit.
Zapanta’s Jet Boggs entry tallied seven points among 90 entries and emerged as solo winner in LGBA’s second leg derby presented by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000.
Nelson Uy/Dong Chung, Jet Fernando, Cris Sioson and BP Super Kings entry posted six points each for a share of second place.
The LGBA derby circuit resumes on Friday with the third and final leg (North vs South 5-Bullstag Derby) on tap.
With 175 fights on tap, the event will start at 10 a.m., according to LGBA president Nick Crisostomo.
Aside from the team champion and individual champion, the 2018 LGBA Cocker of the Year will also be known on Friday.
