BANTAY, Ilocos Sur – National Capital Region bolstered its title-retention campaign in secondary boys’ basketball as it clobbered Central Visayas, 87-58, to march into the semifinals of the 2018 Palarong Pambansa yesterday here.
Gerry Abadiano pumped in 20 points to lead the Metro Manila dribblers being represented by the National University Bullpups.
Carl Tamayo also shone for NCR with 13 points even as Batang Gilas member Terrence Fortea chipped in 12 points.
Meanwhile, Aljay Alloso drained a jumper with 10 seconds left as Davao Region squeaked past Central Luzon, 94-93, to also make it to the semis.
Vince Cuajao led the Davaoeños with 31 points.
