Already assured of a semis berth, Creamline goes for the No. 1 seeding in the Final Four when it squares off against lowly Iriga-Navy today in the 2018 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at The Arena in San Juan City.
Match is at 4 p.m. with the Cool Smashers determined to close out their elimination campaign in style and improve their 5-1 win-loss record.
Coming off a four-game winning run, including a 25-22, 25-18, 25-16 triumph over BaliPure-National University four days ago, the Cool Smashers will once again rely on the deadly duo of Alyssa Valdez and Kuttika Kaewpin.
They’re fast shaping up as the league’s most productive duo with a combined 197 points in six games.
Apart from her booming spikes, Valdez also leads the service department.
Out to provide support are Nikolana Asceric and Risa Sato.
Clashing at 6:30 p.m. are PayMaya (4-2) nd BaliPure (3-3). Like Creamline, PayMaya is also assured of semis berth.
Despite a dismal 1-5 mark, Iriga-Navy is still hopeful it can end its campaign with a flourish as it intends to have a better ranking heading to the round-robin stage for the last two semis slots.
