Hi Ms. Rica,
I need your help po. I know that you advocate safe sex, pero po tuwing nagsesex kami ng boyfriend ko at gumagamit kami ng condom, it feels very dry and sore. Sobrang hapdi po pagkatapos. Bakit po ganun and what can I do?
Sore Girl
Hi Sore Girl,
I’m sorry to know that you’re not enjoying your sexy time. Pero, kudos din to you and your boyfriend for prioritizing protection and practicing responsible sex!
Mukhang meron kang “vaginal dryness” na common sa mga babae. There are different reasons for this such as medications, birth control pills, infection, feelings of stress or being anxious, and not being fully aroused before penetration.
The fast solution for this is to make sure to use lubricants. I suggest that you buy water-based lubricants as this is the kind that is best to use with condoms.
Ang issue lang with water-based lubricants is that they dry easily, kaya kailangan palagi kang naglalagay all throughout your sexy time.
Kung ayaw mo gumamit ng water-based lubricant, you can also use your own saliva (or your boyfriend’s!) to make you wet. Spitting or your boyfriend going down on you can work wonders!
Also, may mga studies na nagsasabi na ang oral sex for women ay mas nakakaarouse, which can make you naturally wet! Avoid using oils (coconut oil, petroleum jelly, baby oil, etc.) as lubricant kasi pwede nito sirain ang condom. Yikes! Pwede rin ito magbigay ng infection sa iyo.
Another suggestion is to do the sexy time during your period! I know na may mga ba baeng ayaw ito because it’s “messy” but, the added lubrication and warmth can make it more pleasurable for you and your boyfriend. Pwede namang maglagay na lang ng sapin or towel underneath for it not to be messy. *wink*
Aside from adding lubricant or saliva to make you wet, ang pinakamagandang way to prevent that sore feeling is to have more foreplay! Are you fully aroused before penetration? Pwede kasing minamadali niyo ang sexy time kaya hindi ka pa fully wet.
The recommended time for foreplay is 16 minutes. So go ahead, and enjoy the fun. Huwag madiliin! Good luck!
With love and lust,
Rica
