As snake lovers, we were shocked recently when we learned that a python was fightÂing for its life somewhere in Sihari village in India.
Forest officials said the repÂtile had swallowed an unknown animal that was too big for him.
A video showed how the pyÂthon struggled to breathe. Its stomach ballooned with the presence of the consumed live animal.
Yahoo News, which carried the story, says pythons are normally not considered danÂgerous to humans.
However, they have enough muscle power to overcome and swallow an animal as large as a grown up fawn (young deer) or calf.
TRIVIA PA MORE (Various Sources): Wild chimps in Guinea are known to drink fermented sap of palm that leave them intoxicated. It contains 3 per cent alcohol by volume.
Talk about cleaning themÂselves. Capuchin monkeys pee on their hand to wash their feet.
Capuchins are considered among the most intelligent of the New World monkeys. They are so named for their âcapsâ of hair, which resemble the cowls of Capuchin monks.
These monkeys are common in Central and South American tropical forests from Nicaragua to Paraguay.
