Sparkle, GMA’s talent management arm, just launched the Sparkle Teens.
Composed of 19 bright, energetic, and bubbly young men and women eager to make it big in showbiz, the Sparkle Teens have been attending workshops since last year in preparation for the different projects they will be tackling soon.
On Tuesday’s media conference held in Novotel Manila Araneta City, the Sparkle Teens did a song and dance number before introducing themselves to the members of the press.
They are James Graham, Ang Adventurer ng Sparkle Teens; Charlie Fleming, Ang Pinakamakulit sa Sparkle Teens; John Clifford, Ang Adventurous Performer ng Sparkle Teens; Princess Aliyah, Ang Biritera ng Sparkle Teens; Brice Eusebio, Ang Happy Pill ng Sparkle Teens; Waynona Collings, Ang Dazzling Fashionista ng Sparkle Teens; John Ford, Ang British Boy ng Sparkle Teens; Gaea Mischa, Ang Stunning Diva ng Sparkle Teens; Lee Victor, Ang Energizer ng Sparkle Teens; Zyren Dela Cruz, Ang Tall, Moreno, at Handsome member ng Sparkle Teens; Aya Domingo, The Bunsong Palaban ng Sparkle Teens; Liana Mae, Ang Kikay ng Sparkle Teens; Marco Masa, Ang Adventurous Actor ng Sparkle Teens; Selina Griffin, Ang Ballerina and Classical Singer ng Sparkle Teens; Antonio Vinzon, Ang Heartthrob ng Sparkle Teens; Ashley Sarmiento, Ang Charismatic Actress ng Sparkle Teens; Aidan Veneracion, Ang Oppa-mazing dancer ng Sparkle Teens; Naomi Park, Ang K-Pop girl ng Sparkle Teens; and Keisha Serna, Ang Towering Beauty ng Sparkle Teens.
Sparkle consultant and renowned Starmaker Johnny “Mr. M” Manahan, believes these teens all have “it.”
“More, they have the enthusiasm and willingness to sacrifice for the craft,” he added. “Willing sila mag-workshops, kumuha ng advanced classes to improve on their craft.”
Sparkle’s Assistant Vice President Joy Marcelo is confident that the Sparkle Teens are ready for stardom.
“They trained with the best acting, singing, and dancing coaches to help them become the stars that they’re meant to be. No easy task but they pulled through really well. Ask any one of them to perform and they will deliver, that’s how confident I am with the caliber and star power of our Sparkle Teens,” she said.
Ana Feleo, Sparkle’s head acting coach, expressed her excitement for the launch of the Sparkle Teens.
“There is no doubt that they are talented, and they all have their unique strengths. They’ve only started to bloom, and I cannot wait to see how far they will go in this industry that we respect and love.”
Sparkle’s Senior Assistant Vice President Annette Gozon-Valdes forecasts a busy and bright future ahead for the Sparkle Teens.
“There is so much to look forward to for the Sparkle Teens in the next coming months. To name a few, we have a billboard, a music video, and social media campaigns that highlight all of their unique personalities and talents, which fans would not want to miss out on! They will also be cast in teen-oriented shows of GMA, while some are already lined up for different dramas,” she said, adding, “I am truly proud of how far the Sparkle teens have come from day one. These kids are not only good-looking and talented, but they are also very hardworking, humble, sweet, and kind. I am confident that after they are seen showcasing their unique talents, fans will genuinely appreciate them and come to love them as the next big stars of this industry.”
