Creamline starsTots Carlos, Alyssa Valdez, Jema Galanza, Michele Gumabao and Kyle Negrito are all ready and thrilled to welcome new teammates in the squad ahead of the 2024 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season.
The Cool Smashers stars are looking forward to have new faces in the rotation with the arrival of Bea De Leon and Denden Revilla from sister team Choco Mucho Flying Titans.
After lifting their seventh franchise trophy, the Cool Smashers look set to sustain their winning drive after retaining their core plus boosting their defense with the acquisitions of De Leon and Revilla.
The sister teams vied for the title in the last conference that saw Choco Mucho make its first-ever finals appearance since its inception in 2019.
Though the Cool Smashers continued to be a cut above the rest, the championship game drew a new PVL crowd record, a testament to its growing popularity ā next best to the PBA.
De Leon and Lazaro will reunite with former UAAP teammates Valdez and Ella De Jesus, though sans star setter Jia De Guzman, who has decided to take his act to the Japan V. League last year.
The PVL kicks off with another All-Filipino series on Feb. 20.
āWeāre still working on the system and the team. So, āyun din āyung lagi naming sinasabi na weāre just always ready to give our best. And weāre always ready to play our hearts out for the people, for the fans at sa lahat ng sumusuporta sa team,ā said three-time PVL MVP Carlos.
